Different artistic challenges will make you have fun with a little bit of competition and a social goal to reach: making the streets more colorful and joyful. You will explore the less-known part of Rome where art found its highest expression in murals and graffitis. These are the bedrocks of the well-known Roman Museum of Urban Art (M.U.Ro.), funded in 2010 by the artist David “Diavù”.
M.U.Ro. Is the first outdoor museum and it promotes and produces Street Art.
M.U.Ro. Is also a community-specific project. It means it aims to respect and follow the “spirit of a place”: the artworks are a bottom-up creation, born by artists and all the other people who directly or indirectly made it.
M.U.Ro. Has been created in 2010by Diavù who painted murals in some Roman neighborhood in the outskirts: “Quadraro”, “Torpignattara” and “Ville Alessandrine”.
M.U.Ro. Wants to organize also a Street Art Festival every year; the goal is improving the quality of some Roman areas in the outskirts. For the moment, just one artwork per month can be created.
